Driver Profiles
Before moving on to Sprint Car racing, Jake earned numerous track titles in the Karting ranks from age 9 to 15. Jake's first full season of Sprint Car racing took him to the local track at Black Hills Speedway in 2008 along with racing in the American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region (ASCS). He earned his first Sprint Car Feature event win at Black Hills Speedway's half-mile track on August 1, 2008.
In addition, Jake's first full season of Sprint Car action as a 16-year-old put him in a final ranking of seventh in 2008 ASCS Rocky Mt. Region points. Jake had much success with several top-ten finishes for his first year of racing. It was a great season and making every show of the Rocky Mt. series traveling from Rapid City, SD, was an accomplishment in itself. His team traveled to Colorado, Montana, Idaho, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska and South Dakota.
In 2009, Jake once again raced the Rocky Mt. Region ASCS schedule. He was also able to claim the title of "ASCS Rocky Mountain CHAMPION" and is currently the youngest champion in ASCS history.
In 2010, Jake ran in a variety of Regional and National ASCS shows as well as the World of Outlaws. He traveled to Texas, Arizona, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Montana, Knoxville, IA, South Dakota and Wyoming. His season was short as he started his college career in the fall of 2010 at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He looks forward to another great season in 2011.
